Air Conditioning Repair

Air conditioning repair can be a complex process. There are many aspects of this major home HVAC system that can go wrong, and without complete repair, you could find yourself unable to count on your system to function properly. Even worse, the wrong care can often lead to problems down the road with the lifespan of your system.

Signs that you might need AC repairs:

  • Loud Noises
An air conditioner will, of course, make some sort of noise. Between the belts, fans and other components, it is virtually impossible to have a machine that runs completely quiet. However, if your unit is making loud bangs, squeaks, whirrs or hums, there is a good chance that there is something wrong with the device.
  • Collecting Water
It is also completely normal for an air conditioner to create some sort of condensation, which occurs as the unit cools the air. A healthy unit will create moisture and that moisture will be collected and drained through a tube. If you notice a collection of water around the base of the unit, then there is a good chance that there is a clogged condensation pump or that the mechanism has stopped working altogether.
  • Air Conditioner Is Not Cooling
Obviously, an air conditioner is supposed to cool your home; if you notice that it isn't cooling your home the way that it used to, or that it isn't cooling it at all, there is a very high likelihood that you are in need of a repair.
