Heating:

Homeowners should always be prepared for whatever heating needs may arise. Heating repairs, installations and maintenance can help keep your home comfortable all year round.

Heating repair is necessary if there’s a problem with an existing system or something has gone wrong with it. Repairs typically involve either replacing or repairing parts, cleaning the unit, or testing its electrical components. The technician will also inspect any ductwork to make sure there are no major issues present before continuing on with the repair job.

Heating installation is typically done when a new system is being put into place or an old one needs to be replaced.

We have years of experience in the industry and have successfully serviced a wide range of residential and commercial properties. Our technicians are licensed, certified and insured so you can rest assured that we will handle your job professionally and safely. Our staff is dedicated to providing reliable service with a quick response time.

Cooling:

When summer arrives, air conditioning is a must. Homeowners need to make sure their AC is running smoothly and efficiently.

First, it's important to consider the type of system you want installed or repaired. Do you need central air or window units? What size and style best fits your home? A reliable HVAC contractor can help guide you through the process and provide quality ac installation or repair services.

For maintenance, homeowners should look for a local company with experience in both residential and commercial systems. A knowledgeable technician can inspect your unit regularly to ensure it's running optimally and identify potential problems before they become costly repairs. Be sure to ask about their certification status and inquire about warranties on any new parts they install as part of an AC repair job.

Indoor Air Quality:

Maintaining good indoor air quality is essential for keeping yourself and your family healthy. From seasonal allergies to respiratory illnesses, poor air circulation can cause a wide range of issues. Improving the HVAC system in your home is one way to ensure that the air you breathe is as clean and safe as possible.

First, make sure that your HVAC system is regularly serviced by an experienced technician. This will help keep it running at peak efficiency, which can reduce the amount of dust and other contaminants circulating through your home’s ventilation system. Additionally, be sure to replace filters on a regular basis—at least once every three months—to remove any buildup of dirt and debris from the filter surface.

We offer comprehensive HVAC services aimed at improving the overall quality of the air inside your home.

Insulation:

Adding insulation to your home can significantly reduce heating and cooling costs while improving the overall comfort of your living spaces. Insulation is one of the most cost-effective upgrades that you can make to an HVAC system, and it’s important to consider all available options when selecting the best type for your specific needs.

Check for existing insulation around windows, doors, crawlspaces, basements and attics. These areas are often neglected when it comes to insulating and can be prime sources of heat loss or gain. If necessary, supplement existing insulation with additional materials such as foam board or spray foam in order to achieve optimal thermal performance.

When you choose us for your insulation service needs, you can count on superior quality workmanship and materials backed by years of experience in the industry.

F.A.Q

1. What are the common causes for HVAC system breakdown?
The issues that can befall your system can range from the fan, condenser, compressor, wires, fan motor or thermostat. Three of the most prevalent reasons that your home HVAC unit may require repairs is that it was poorly installed, the thermostat is not communicating effectively with the system or has stopped working, or power connections to the unit has caused a transformer to trip or circuit to blow.

The other issues can come in the form of fan malfunctions. First, the unit turns on but the fan does not move air into the home. The capacitor, fan motor or the foil and filter may have become corroded are valid reasons that the fan is not operating correctly. Second, you may have gone outside to check the unit and noticed that there is ice on one of the lines. This can be caused by the refrigerant being low blower motor deficiencies. Third, your home can be experiencing temperature control issues stemming from the thermostat needing to be recalibrated or replaced. Temperature variations can also be caused by lack of dampers in the ductwork or the indoor outdoor air is imbalanced within the system.

Lastly, the unit could be running constantly, which can be caused by the refrigerant level or attic air flowing through your return. Air conditioning repair during the spring and summer months are no coincidence. The more you use it the more any existing issue will be exacerbated and require your attention.

Those issues can be easily spotted and remedied depending on how long those issues have been allowed to damage multiple air conditioning functions. Annual inspection of an older unit that has been giving you issues can spot contractor installation or previous repair mistakes as well as discrepancies with the thermostat readings.
2. Is A bigger HVAC system stronger, More powerful, and in general just better?
This is not necessarily the case. A HVAC system that is oversized will cycle on and off on a consistent basis. This can lead to a higher power bill and it can also lead to inconsistent temperatures which is not pleasant at all. If the HVAC unit turns off at a quicker pace than it is supposed to then this is bad for another reason- it means that the humidity in your home will not be sufficiently removed. This could leave your home feeling cool on a summer day when the temperature is high but also feeling somewhat damp.
3. Can I replace just the indoor unit or the outdoor unit?
We don't recommend so. Practically all of the new high efficiency heat pumps and central air conditioners necessitate that the system is a matching set, which means that both the inside and the outside need to be changed together. This is required in order for the system to work properly. The indoor coil and the outdoor compressor must work together as a team. If the indoor and outdoor units are mismatched then this could reduce the life of both of the units. It could also prevent the system from working to its greatest capacity. In some cases it might also render the manufacturer’s warranty to be null and void. These are significant points that need to be thought about where HVAC installation is concerned.
4. Why is it important to have my HVAC system maintained and how often shoud it be done?
One of the most valuable benefits of having your heating and cooling system maintained is improving its performance. An established HVAC technician can modify your heater or cooling system to make sure it is running at its maximum performance. Examinations and "tune ups" will equate to less energy consumption and ultimately lower charges. Having your system maintained on an annual basis is a great way to ensure complete safety around your home.
5. Should I repair or replace my broken AC unit?
If you have been using the unit for more than 10 to 12 years, it may be necessary to replace the entire system. Although this is rather expensive, the cost effectiveness of replacement should be considered, such as the energy savings involved. A new unit can typically save you up to 50% on your air conditioning costs and 15% to 20% on your overall energy bill.
6. What does a checkup consist of?
When our technician handles the maintenance, he has a checklist for the appointment. He looks over the thermostat and makes sure that it is working properly. If it isn't, it could be causing unnecessary damage to your heating and air conditioning. The less efficient the system, the more you are going to pay on your monthly utility bills. Once this is complete, he moves on to the main equipment.

All electrical connections will be checked. Any that are loose should be immediately tightened. This is more than just an efficiency issue. This is also a safety concern as faulty connections can cause damage to the equipment and the home and in some cases, put a family in danger. Voltage and current also needs to be measured to ensure that everything is working properly.

All parts should be lubricated. When friction occurs, the system needs to work harder to produce the same results. This means that in some cases, the parts could be wearing down sooner. It also means that it takes more electricity to keep these parts moving consistently.

Most equipment has a condensation drain so that the excess water does not build up. Our technician will look at the drain and make sure that there are no obstructions. A sign of trouble is often an excess of humidity inside the home. If there is a clog, it could cause water damage to the home as well as the heating and air equipment.

Each of the controls also needs to be examined to ensure that each one is working properly. This means examining how the heating and cooling equipment turns on and how long it takes for the temperature in the home to change. The technician will also turn off the equipment and check to ensure that everything shuts down properly.
7. How many checkups are necessary?
Heating and air conditioning maintenance can all be handled at one checkup. Most people schedule two appointments yearly - one to handle the heat equipment before the temperatures drop and one to handle the cooling system before the summertime gets started. How many appointments you schedule in the year is completely up to you.
